A view of the Hannover FAR10 Officer's Wappen (front plate). Note the voided crown and sharp detail. On Officer's titled helmet plates the "Bandeau" is a separate piece that is soldered onto the helmet plate itself. On enlisted helmets, the Bandeau is part of the plate stamping.
A view of the rear of the helmet.
A side view showing the high dome typical for an early officer's helmet.

The liner remains in very good condition. The liner is the squared leather tongue pattern which was used by officers until 1880.

This pattern is also commonly encountered on Eigentums-helm and referred to as the "Extra" pattern. This pattern of liner for officers was replaced in 1880 by a fine calf-skin sweatband coupled by a silk skull cap.
