Model 1895
Preußen Pioniere Battalion 30
Pickelhaube

Model 1895 Preußen Pioniere (Pioneer) Battalion 30 Mannschaften (Other Ranks) Pickelhaube for 3. Rheinisches Pionier-Batl. Nr.30, Ehrenbreitstein, VIII. Armee-Korps.

Pioneer helmets are distinctive in that the fittings are Neusilber (nickel-silver). Like brass, Neusilber (actually a high nickel content alloy) is not magnetic.

Pioniere Battalion Nr. 30 was raised in 1913, just before the Great War.
