A rear view showing the 1895 pattern sliding air vent on the rear spine.
A view of the side profile. Note how the leather shell has shrunk over the years, leaving a gap between the shell and the rear spine.
The liners of M1915 helmets reflect the war time economy, and are usually made from a much thinner leather than older helmets. This example is in quite good condition.

The helmet is maker marked "Herm Flohr. Cöln 1916" on the rear visor.
