Getting Positioned Success! The cuts were straight and parallel to the center of the hull. Here a spare ruler is used to get the correct position for the hull-keels. This had to be accurate, as they had to sit straight and true with the keel on a flat surface, but not as low as the lowest part of the hull. |

In Position Here the hull-keels are in position. They were glued in with epoxy from the interior, then faired in with auto body filler. |

The shape turned out very well, as each end slopes up at a different angle to the hull. You can see here how they are raised just slightly off the surface as they run parallel to the hull. | | |

Detail Sanding Back to sanding. Any flaws in the hull were now carefully filled with putty and sanded. This had to be as good as possible before I applied the resin coating. |
