Getting Positioned
Success! The cuts were straight and parallel to the center of the hull. Here a spare ruler is used to get the correct position for the hull-keels. This had to be accurate, as they had to sit straight and true with the keel on a flat surface, but not as low as the lowest part of the hull.

In Position
Here the hull-keels are in position. They were glued in with epoxy from the interior, then faired in with auto body filler.

The shape turned out very well, as each end slopes up at a different angle to the hull. You can see here how they are raised just slightly off the surface as they run parallel to the hull.
Detail Sanding
Back to sanding. Any flaws in the hull were now carefully filled with putty and sanded. This had to be as good as possible before I applied the resin coating.
