How to Build a Battleship Model from Scratch:
The S.M.S. Pommern

Part VI. The Geschützen (Guns)
Welcome to Part VI which will cover the construction of the Geschützen (guns) of SMS Pommern. Most of this project has been new territory for me as this is my first ship model. The Geschützen, however, turned out to be the most enjoyable part of this project so far, as there were no disasters, and it was high-detail model making that I am familiar with.

In this section, you will find 20 pages covering 54 steps with 65 photographs.

*NOTE*To honour the brave crew of the Pommern lost on the 1st of June 1916, I have decided to use the German terms Geschützen (guns), Geschützeturm (gun-turret) Geschützeturme (gun-turrets plural) and Geschützerohr (gun barrel) in the text.
In an effort to improve navigation, at the bottom of each page links to all major sections to allow you to jump ahead or back. Like always, the "Back" and Next" buttons at the bottom of each page will take you through the steps chronologically.

I hope you find this section interesting or useful and as always, comments or questions are always welcome. Thank you for sharing my pain. Please click the "next" button below to start the tour. Tony
