| A comparison of Eigentumsstück (private purchase) and issued Mannschaften (Other-Ranks) epaulettes for Ulanen-Regt. Nr.15. Note not only the great diffierence in size, but that the difference in numbers. The brass number 15 on the Eigentumsstück is the same quality as an officer's epaulette with highly detailed squared-edge numbers, while the issued 15 numbers are much larger and rounded. In addition, the issued epaulette has an integral brass hook to hold the Kartuschkasten mit Bandolier (cartridge box and bandolier) in white lacquered leather. |
