The Rudder Completed
Here is the rudder, completed and ready for primer to give an indication of the size and thickness.

Hull Sponsons
Now it was time to make the hull sponsons that hold the 88 mm guns. Naturally, it would have been too easy to have a few of these the same, but nooooooo! Every one is different. I made them with the doors off so I could add those separately.

No Two the Same
I first made plastic templates for the shape, then curved styrene plastic around the template to form the "front" vertical section where the doors will go. I then filled the hollow spaces above and below with auto-body filler. Once sanded to shape, I then popped them off the template. This picture shows the front and back of a front hull sponson.
