First Appearance
The first test-fit of the stations to the keel. This was the first indication of the shape and size of the battleship. I was impressed. Total length was 127.6cm and the beam at the widest point was 22.8cm.

Taking Away the "Edge"
As the planks have to lay flat on the hull stations, I discovered that I had to sand the stations down to obtain a correct "bevel" for the planks to lay flat. It is very easy to go too far in this step, so it is better to sand a little, check it, and then sand more as required.

Losing Some Weight
It seems that normal procedure according to the books and articles I found, is to cut the center out of each hull station to save some weight. Not being one to argue with tradition, I drilled a pilot hole in each station and use the jig saw to remove the center portion.
