Threading Stanchions For the rest of the railing, the stanchions have to be threaded on the wire, and then were glued in as I worked my way around the upper deck. As is so typical for Pommern, the upper deck was complicated, with numerous angles, curves etc.

Bending To make a corner or a curve, I would start the bend by placing a clamp on the inside edge where I needed the bend. The pieces of wood are there to keep the railing vertical while all the work was being done in that area.

Always Count on Wood.... Then another piece of wood was used to apply pressure to make the bend.
