Houston: We have Railings....
Here is the aft part of the superstructure with the railings on. Along the railings, some Cyanoacrylate glue was used to hold the railing stanchions vertical. The ends and corners were being difficult so I soldered them and they are not going anywhere. Overall, I was very pleased and amazed at how strong it was; I bumped the railing HARD with a tool by accident, and nothing. Not even a dent.

Soldering Corners
Here is one of the most complicated sections after soldering before the ends were clipped off and cleaned up. As is so typical with Pommern, she just had to have these strange complicated shapes on the Aufbau railing.... The soldering is sloppy, but as the railings would be covered by silk paper to replicate the canvas I did not have to be careful. All photos of Pommern in service show that the Fore deck railings, upper bridge railings, and the lower parts of the searchlight platforms were covered in canvas. So obviously, this had to be added. Very few ship modelers go through the effort to apply the canvas, so that was even more incentive for me.

Kommandoturm Canvas
In front of the Kommandoturm (Command Tower or Armoured Bridge) was a large canvas covered structure that I assume was to keep rain off of any crew standing in that position. It was (naturally) a complicated shape, as the top supports were four different lengths as the structure followed the contour of the top deck and the Kommandoturm just below the vision slits where they attached. On the front of the canvas, were four openings to view from when standing under the canvas.
