Forming the Canvas to the Railings Once the bottom was dry, the white glue and water mix was applied generously along the length being very carful not to go past the top of the railing. If you do (as I discovered) the paper above the railings will curl and become useless when it dries. And then (like me!) you get to tear it off and do it again.

Cutting the Fold Once the front has dried and sucked down onto the railings, along the back between each stanchion the paper was cut for folding it over. If you do not cut the paper and try to do it all in one piece (trust me) it becomes extremely difficult to work with, the paper becomes very fragile and tears, you ruin all that work, and end up yelling in the workshop very loudly and scaring the dogs.

Securing the Fold
Finally, more of the white glue and water mix was applied to the folded edges, and worked in so that the fold rolls over the top railing and adheres to the back of the paper that is lying against the front of the railings.
